Prior to working with Zefik, Joanna served as Legislative Analyst for NYS Senator James Seward where she acted as floor counsel for the Senator, drafted and negotiated legislation and cultivated relationships with local officials and constituent groups.
Before relocating to New York, Joanna acted as an Associate for the Longmire Group, a lobbying firm based in Raleigh, North Carolina. Her expertise in was in State education reform and garnering bi-partisan support for particular initiatives. Joanna served as Special Assistant to U.S. Senator Elizabeth Dole where she assisted in coordinating the Senator's state schedule, managed administrative duties in the constituent service office and assisted the Deputy Director in special initiatives statewide.
B.A. in Public Policy Analysis from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
