
Prior to founding Zefik, Dan worked as a Procurement Analyst at Lafarge Building Materials, Inc., the world’s largest manufacturer of building materials, where he focused on analysis that drove negotiations for several large industrial contracts, saving the company millions of dollars.
As a Senior Research Analyst at the New York State Office of Temporary and Disability Assistance, Dan analyzed state financial assistance programs, which resulted in annual savings of several million dollars. As a Transportation Analyst at the New York State Department of Transportation, he validated the state’s compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act.
Before beginning his civilian career, Dan served in the Israel Defense Force (IDF) as a combat soldier in the IDF Special Forces. He led his men as a lieutenant in the Combat Engineering Corps and was a team member of the Special Security Unit, guarding the second most secure government installation in Israel, the Ben Gurion Airport.
Dan’s military training, discipline, and diverse experiences—from being an immigrant to becoming an IDF lieutenant, entrepreneur, and business owner—have provided him with the perspective that life is full of opportunities to be seized. that you need to take the bull by the horns and that is what he did.
