Prior to joining Zefik, Chris was an Area Purchasing Manager for Lafarge Building Materials, Inc. He was responsible for managing all sourcing, purchasing, and contractor safety initiatives for multiple Lafarge sites. His primary site was Lafarge’s Ravena Cement Plant, a 2 million ton per year production facility.
Previous to Lafarge, Chris was employed as a Stanley Tools Corporate Commodity Manager for machined castings. He was responsible for analyzing casting spending across all Stanley Tools U.S. divisions and for leveraging that spending to reduce costs, increase terms, and consolidate the supply chain through aggressive contracts favorable to Stanley. He performed on-site inspections and qualification of casting and machining suppliers in the United States, China, Korea, Taiwan, and Thailand. He then negotiated and managed the resulting supplier contracts and vendor performance.
Chris was also employed as a Senior Financial Analyst and later as a Senior Purchasing Analyst at ITT Goulds Pumps. He supplied much of the analysis supporting the establishment of alliance relationships with major Goulds vendors. He located, qualified, and negotiated supplier contracts with offshore vendors in European, Asian, and South American markets.
